Splatter/Wet Splatter Watercolor Lesson

Overview:

Splattering is a painting technique in which paint is flicked or tapped off a brush onto a surface. In this lesson we will be exploring this technique on a dry paper surface as well as on a wet paper surface, “wet on wet”. 

Supplies:

  • Watercolor paint set

  • Watercolor paint brushes (small round and large round)

  • Watercolor paper (6, 5’x7’)

  • A palette to mix

  • A container of water

  • Paper towel
